KimJay Pits

A little about us:

Jay and I have owned American Pit Bull Terriers for 9 years. I got my first Pit Bull as a pet. We purchased Nitro from Buenos Aires Kennels located in Florida back in 2000. We later acquired another pet. Then in 2002 we bought our first show quality female. GRCHPR KimJ's Naughty By Nature Of Buenos Aires. Misty is a beautiful black and white bitch who finished her UKC Grand champion quickly and at 5 years old still went out and won a Terrier Speciality and a APBT specialty show.

We have since acquired other show Pits and added a couple of American Staffordshire Terriers to our home.

We enjoy showing and all of our dogs are family. We have finished 4 UKC Grand Champions , 3 UKC Champions...2 which are bred by's out of our first litter and 2 AKC champions. We did not go out and buy our dogs with breeding in mind. We have some quality dogs here that we just recently decided we would like to see what they will produce. We will have our first  litter this winter. We are excited to see what they produce and we hope they follow in the footsteps of their ancestors.

We did not become overnight breeders. Jay and I have learned a lot along the way of structure, tempermant and health. We also used to foster and rescue dogs so we have a great understanding of training and the proper care that must go into dogs. We live in Central Va on 6 acres of land with  2 acres of fencing and kennels. Plenty of room for our dogs to run. We believe that all dogs should receive daily attention. Our UKC dogs consist of mainly Gaff and Nevada lines. They are pets first, show dogs second. We will not knowingly sell our puppies to anyone that does not feel as we do.

We are thankful for the people we have met along the way that have trusted us with our babies.

Pat Crespo from Buenos Aires kennels has given me a great foundation for my UKC dogs

And  Ron Ramos from Ramos Kennels for sending me my very nice boy

A big thanks to both who have given me so much advice and help. Although our dogs are not *perfect*,  when deciding our breedings we try and stick as close to the UKC standard as possible. We look for dogs that compliment each other not only in type and conformation but pedigree wise also. Focusing on correcting weaknesses but not sacrificing the strong points of the dogs. We hope to in the future  produce an ocassional litter of quality show dogs and great companions.
